Your questions answered including: Can I have private physiotherapy as well as NHS physiotherapy?

What can I expect from my child's first session?

  • The first session with me will include a joint discussion between the Physio, parent and child; Focusing on the child's current presentation/condition. A detailed history of how the child is presenting will be taken, this will include medical history and information regarding any investigations or treatments that have already taken place or that are planned.  A physical examination of the child will also be completed, which may include an assessment of their range of movement, muscle length, muscle power, gait and tone. At the end of the first session, a diagnosis will then be suggested and an appropriate treatment plan formulated.

Can I have private Physiotherapy as well as NHS Physiotherapy?

  • Absolutely you can. It's useful to have both working in collaboration and that is why I am keen to communicate with your NHS team if needed.
     

Will I incur travel fees if outside of the local area?

  • Although I am based in Elloughton, East Yorkshire and cover the surrounding area, I am happy to travel to you if you live further afield but this may incur additional costs. Please contact me for further details.

How do I make a payment?

  • Payments can be made via cash, electronic bank transfer or using a card reader.
